AOC announces price increase for United States and Canada

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — Resin producer AOC will increase its prices to 7 cents (USD) per pound in the US and by 15.5 cents (CAN) per kilo in Canada, effective on all products with shipments on and after June 22.

The company cites increased material costs as the reason behind the price increase. These increases are impacted by a variety of factors including petrochemical feedstock changes, manufacturing plant maintenance outages, and various other issues limiting operating capacity. Furthermore, the chemical industry continues to implement modifications allowing additional similar feedstock changes in the future.

Additionally, dicyclopentadiene, propylene glycol, ethylene glycol, epoxy, bisphenol A, and methyl methacrylate have risen to historically high prices.
