RIVERHEAD, N.Y. — SI-TEX Marine Electronics and Jeppesen are improving the chart coverage offered by a 2011 promotion, now providing North American boaters with C-MAP MAX Wide electronic chart coverage at no charge when they purchase any new SI-TEX EC Series chart plotter. Previously the company had announced that each SI-TEX EC-5, EC-7 and EC-11 chart plotter would come with a C-MAP “MAX Lite” chart card packaged in the box.
The promotion still runs through Dec. 31.
“This promotion couldn’t be any easier to take advantage of,” Allen Schneider, vice president/sales for SI-TEX, said in a release. “There are no extra purchases to make or rebate forms to fill out. When a boater purchases one of these new EC Series units, it comes ready to sail, right out of the box with the C-MAP MAX Wide chart card for his region. This is a great deal and a great way for boaters to experience the full power of our EC-Series plotters and C-MAP MAX charts.”
