COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — AOC will present its latest EcoTek greener resin technologies during the Composites 2011 Exhibition and Convention on Feb. 2-4 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to a recent press release from AOC.
John McAlvin, research development manager at AOC, will present his technical paper detailing AOC’s progress in the development of EcoTek greener resins. McAlvin’s presentation is titled “Green Composites Through the Use of Styrene-Free Resins and Unsaturated Polyesters Derived from Renewable and Recycled Raw Materials.”
“The objective of EcoTek green resin technologies is to offer a seamless transition for composite fabricators,” said McAlvin in the release. “EcoTek products need to offer processing characteristics and end-use performance properties that are better than or equivalent to conventional resin technologies.”
