BRP participates in national promotion
STURTEVANT, Wis. – BRP is participating in National Fishing & Boating Week, June 6-14, by offering an Evinrude E-TEC as part of the grand prize package offered through a national on-line interactive fishing game, “Catch A Boat,” it reported in a recent statement.
Sponsored by the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation (RBFF), the new virtual fishing game is designed to attract consumers to the world of fishing and bring awareness to their on-line fishing and boating resource, www.takemefishing.org, BRP explained.
The Evinrude E-TEC 60-hp outboard engine is powering a Triumph 1700 Skiff boat. Participants are eligible to win other daily prizes from a variety of sponsors. The “Catch A Boat” contest launched June 4 and runs for seven weeks, according to BRP. The contest is expected to attract 50,000 participants.
“We are always looking for creative ways to reach consumers, and the “Catch A Boat” contest fit our criteria,” stated Roch Lambert, vice president – general manager, Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo and Evinrude division. “The on-line marketing strategy has been successful for Evinrude E-TEC in the past, and this new program will enhance our current initiatives as well as bring additional awareness to the benefits of our product.”
