CLEARWATER, Fla. – Boat retailer MarineMax, Inc. (NYSE:HZO), has expanded its relationship with luxury yacht builder Azimut, adding the brand to its Florida product offerings, it reported in a recent statement. Prior to this expansion, MarineMax offered Azimut yachts in its markets from Baltimore to Boston.
"We have been successful with Azimut in the northeast, and we believe the potential for MarineMax and Azimut in Florida is significant,” said William H. McGill, Jr., MarineMax chairman, president and CEO. “MarineMax now has the exclusive rights as the only boat retailer with the ability to sell and service the world class brand of Azimut in both the northeast and in Florida. We will now be able to provide the full range of MarineMax services to those northeastern Azimut owners who have a second home in Florida and frequently boat between the two markets."
