MarineMax launches new Web site
CLEARWATER, Fla. – Boating retailer MarineMax has launched its new Web site at www.marinemax.com, offering customers easier access to inventory, images, important product information, and provides updated data on tides and marine weather, the company said in a release today.
The Web site showcases up-to-date new, used and brokerage boat inventory from all of MarineMax’s 67 locations. The interactive interface allows visitors the opportunity to make service appointments, send parts inquiries, and even submit boating-related questions via the “Ask The Experts” section.
“Our goal is to try to give our Web site visitors the same experience that guests receive when they visit one of our stores,” says Jeff Scherer, eBusiness Manager at MarineMax. “By harnessing the latest Web and phone technologies, along with dedicating an e-Business team to respond to our Web visitors’ inquiries, we are striving to stay on the front-edge of customer service.”
Sections dedicated to family boating, sport boating, yachting and fishing are features of the new site. The fishing section contains articles, hints and tips from various fishing experts across the country It also encourages customers to submit their own personal fishing stories to be published on the site.
“The vast majority of our clientele are working people who may not have the time during the day to visit our physical store locations during standard business hours,” said Scherer. “With that in mind, we’ve tried to design our Web site so that our ‘click experience’ reflects our ‘brick experience.’”
