UK marina adds IDS control system
RALIEGH, N.C. – Integrated Dealer Systems, a dealer management system provider to the marine industry, has installed its Mainstar utility control system at Maryport Marina in the United Kingdom, the company said yesterday.
Mainstar is an automated system that enables marine owners to monitor and control utilities from their offices, eliminating the need for dock walks.
In a multi-phase redevelopment project with funding provided by a grant from the European Regional Development Fund, Maryport chose Mainstar to be its solution to its existing electrical system.
“Our employees were having to physically take meter readings almost every day,” said Maryport Manager Pauline Gorley. “We wanted [a solution] that would let our residents have some control.”
“We are very pleased that the residents and marina employees are happy with the system and are already considering adding more IDS solutions and services,” said Don Tillotson, IDS Europe managing director.
