Skeeter launches Discover Boating wrap boat

KILGORE, Texas – Skeeter Products, Inc. has partnered with the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s Discover Boating campaign and unveiled a new Discover Boating wrap boat at the Bassmaster Classic in Birmingham, Ala., Skeeter said in a statement yesterday.

“Skeeter has been a longtime supporter and member of the NMMA, and we are proud to offer this opportunity to expand the reach of the Discover Boating campaign,” said Jeff Stone, Skeeter senior vice president and general manager.

Skeeter/Yamaha Pro and BASS angler Bill Lowen, who finished 33rd in his first Bassmaster Classic, will carry the Discover Boating campaign banner, running his Skeeter 20i-Class at BASS Elite Series tournaments during the 2007 season.

“My father, a former tournament angler himself, passed along much of what I know about boating to me, including enjoying my time on the water, following safe boating rules and respecting the environment,” Lowen said.

Lowen’s Skeeter wrap boat will have the Discover Boating tagline, “Boating Connects People Like No Other,” and will include the Discover Boating Web site address.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Skeeter Boats and Bill Lowen to deliver the Discover Boating message in a new and exciting way,” said Carl Blackwell, NMMA marketing and communications vice president. “This is exactly the kind of relationship the industry needs to extend the national Discover Boating campaign and ultimately to help grow the recreational boating industry.”
