CHICAGO - Bombardier Capital has contributed $10,000 to the Grow Boating Initiative, the National Marine Manufacturers Association reported in a recent release.
“Grow boating is such an important industry issue that we wanted to continue our efforts to assist the progress of the program by doing whatever we could to facilitate the Initiative's goal to increase boating participation,” says Bombardier Capital director of sales Kelly Martin.
The industry is trying to raise $2.5 million to support the Grow Boating Initiative by July 1, as discussions on creating an ongoing funding model to support a $16.2 million annual program continue. The funding that is brought in between now and July will be used to pay for the continuing development of the creative for the ad campaign, an extensive national public relations campaign, and enhancements to the DiscoverBoating.com Web site.
“While the industry awaits the launch of the national promotional campaign, it is important to remember that the Grow Boating Initiative is more than just a marketing program,” said NMMA president Thom Dammrich. “We are working to improve all areas of boating to make it a better experience for consumers and the contributions we receive from industry leaders like Bombardier Capital are needed to help support these important efforts.”
