AMI elects 2008 board
WARREN, R.I. – The Association of Marina Industries elected its 2008 officers and directors at the International Marina & Boatyard Conference last month, the company said in a press release yesterday.
Jim Frye, vice-president of acquisitions at Westrec Marinas, will serve his second term as AMI board president and will also act as this year’s chair. Chris McSparen, Skipper Marine Development, was re-appointed vice president; Mick Bettesworth, Marina Developments LLC, was re-appointed secretary; and Marshall Nowlin, Bayport Marina was re-appointed treasurer. Mark Yearn and John Schoppman were also re-elected to the AMI board.
Several new directors were voted onto the AMI board. They are: Steve Sammes, Gold Coast Marina; Andrew Collumbell, Premier Marinas; T. Clark Smith, Chubb Markets; and Mick Webber, HydroHoist.
The new AMI Board Directors will join: Alex Laidlaw, Westrec Marinas; Keith Boulais, Premier Materials Technology; Tom Cox, Constitution Marina; Jeff d’Albora, Dalcorp; Gary Groenewold, Westrec Marinas; Kevin Lussier, Amelia Island Yacht Basin; Jerry Nessenson, ValvTect Marine Fuel; Jeff Rose, Marinas International; Steve Ryder, Bellingham Marine; and Bill Yeargin, Correct Craft.
