Sailboat manufacturers asked to review ISO standard

CHICAGO – Sailboat makers who obtain CE certification for their products are being asked to review the draft standard, ISO 12215-9, Scantlings: Sailing Boats – Appendages and Rig Attachment, according to a recent press release from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA).

The draft standard is available for review on the NMMA Web site.

The standard is to be used for the determination of loads and scantlings of sailing craft appendages and rig attachments for sailboats up to 24m. For more information, contact Thomas Marhevko at (312) 946-6213.
