US Sailing announces one-design sailing awards
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Five awards were presented at US Sailing’s One-Design Sailing Symposium to recognize outstanding individual and organizational achievements in one-design sailing, according to a recent release from US Sailing. The award categories are Service, Leadership, Club, Regatta, and Creativity.
The 2010 One-Design award winners are Brant Beach Yacht Club, winner of the Club Award, Ensign class pioneer John “Zeke” Durica, winner of the Service Award, Sailgroove’s Chris Love and Pat Hitchins, winners of the Creativity Award, co-event chairs of the 2010 ICSA Nationals Christine Porter and Carrie Bargren, winners of the Leadership Award, and the Fishing Bay Yacht Club, winner of the Regatta Award.
