The Top 100 gets naked
About a month ago, I read a book called, “Getting Naked: A business fable.” The book is about how being vulnerable in business actually leads to stronger relationships with those we serve – and helps us serve them better.
I enjoyed the book. While it doesn’t directly apply to the publishing business or to boat sales, there are valuable lessons for both industries.
The book is not the reason Boating Industry decided to hold a Top 100 Webinar this week. Rather, we conducted a survey of current and former Top 100 Dealers at the end of last year, and one of the survey respondents suggested the webinar, which my fellow editors and I thought was a great idea.
But we are hoping that by openly sharing the details of how we go about evaluating the Top 100 Dealer Applications, we’ll be able to serve you better through the Top 100 program.
To be honest, we would have shared those details a long time ago if we had known you were interested. But that’s the beauty of customer surveys. There’s always a lot to learn.
Here are the other topics we’ll be covering during the webinar:
– The 2011 Top 100
– Top 100 dealer survey results
– New benefits for 2011
– Benefits you might not have known about
– Tips on how to write a better application
– Myths about the Top 100 evaluation process
Whether you’re a current Top 100 Dealer, former Top 100 Dealer or considering applying to the program for the first time, we’d like to invite you to join the Boating Industry editors on Wednesday, April 6 at 1 p.m. CDT. We’ll be there, ready to answer your questions about the Top 100 Dealers Program.
