White House recognizes National Safe Boating Week
In recognition of National Safe Boating Week (NSBW), the White House press office has issued a formal proclamation calling for safe and responsible boating practices while on the water.
Recognizing the importance of safe boating practices, the White House is formally recognizing National Safe Boating Week from May 20 through May 26, 2023, and encouraging all who participate in boating activities to learn more about safe boating practices and by take advantage of boating safety education opportunities.
To help support NSBW, the NMMA and Discover Boating are sharing safety-related content on social media platforms throughout the week encouraging boaters to refresh their safety knowledge and boating skills heading into Memorial Day weekend and throughout peak boating season.
Industry partners are encouraged to get involved by sharing boating safety content with their customers and boater networks. Find additonal resources in the Safe Boating Campaign’s National Safe Boating Week toolkit here.
