Marine Mover – Coast Guard Foundation appoints new president

STONINGTON, Conn. – The Coast Guard Foundation recently appointed James C. Link as its president, the national nonprofit organization reported in a release yesterday.

With a strong background in fundraising and capital campaigns, Link will lead the organization’s nationwide effort to increase public awareness and funding for programs benefiting the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard and Coast Guard Academy, the foundation said.

“I look forward to leading an aggressive nationwide campaign to educate the American public about the urgency of the foundation’s mission and the ways in which they can help,” Link said.

“We’re excited to have Jim at the helm of this organization,” said James Caraway, Coast Guard Foundation Board chairman. “His extensive background in nonprofit fundraising and marketing campaigns will be instrumental in helping the organization provide more services to Coast Guard men and women.”

Link has more than 20 years of experience in educational administration and institutional advancement. Previously, he served as vice president for advancement at Iona and Hartwick colleges in New York.
