Furuno takes home nine NMEA awards
FORT MEYERS, Fla. — Furuno, a manufacturer of marine electronics, was honored with nine awards at the 2003 National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Convention in Fort Meyers, Fla., the company reported Wednesday.
Furuno has received a total of 146 such awards since 1971, the company added.
Furuno awards included: Best Sonar with the Furuno CH250; Best GPS.DGPS/WAAS Receiver; Best Automatic Identification System with the Furuno FA100; Best Integrated Navigation Systemd with the NavNet Network; Best Radar – Commercial with the FR2105 series; Best Vessel Instrumentation with the Furuno RD30; and Best Recreation Fish finder with the Furuno FCV582l.
In addition Furuno took home an award for Best Radar-Recreational for the twenty-eighth consecutive year with the 1800/1900 NavNet series of radars, according to the company.
