Marine Mover – Genmar names Roger R. Cloutier, II as its president and COO

MINNEAPOLIS – Genmar Holdings, Inc. has promoted Roger R. Cloutier, II to the positions of president and chief operating officer (COO), effective immediately, according to a company statement released this morning.

Cloutier replaces Grant Oppegaard, who will retire after having been the company’s president and a Genmar board member since late 1995. Cloutier has served as Genmar’s executive vice president, chief financial officer and board member since 1996.

“I am convinced that Roger’s transition to president and COO of Genmar will be a seamless one,” said Genmar Chairman Irwin L. Jacobs. “Roger and I both completely believe in and share the same enthusiasm and optimism for Genmar’s continued growth plans, particularly in light of our tremendous worldwide organization of people, dealers, boat brands and an extremely strong financial balance sheet.”
