OneWater Marine Holdings, MarineMax have secured stores in hurricane area

OneWater Marine Holdings and MarineMax have secured their Florida locations in the path of Hurricane Michael. Team members have been evacuated.

“Our stores in the Panama City and Pensacola areas have prepared and our team members have evacuated,” MarineMax Web Content Coordinator Sarah Yasi told Boating Industry this morning. “In turn, these stores are currently closed and we will provide further information once the storm has passed.”

All of OneWater Marine Holdings Florida Panhandle stores are currently closed, said Head of Marketing Evan Davis.

“We finished securing all of our stores yesterday at noon and sent our team members home to finish preparing and securing their homes. Many of them worked together prior to evacuating,” Davis said.

Employees at Legendary Marina in Destin, Fla, finished filling the dealership’s dry stack building Tuesday. Photos posted on social media showed center consoles placed inside for emergency storage.

In a Tuesday Facebook post, General Manager Jeremy Holcomb stated the following: “We are currently at capacity for storing vessels for Hurricane Michael. When our doors are safer to open again and the waterways are debris-free and debris free and navigable, Legendary Marina will send out an email notification.”
