Marine Movers: Ehlert Boating Media names associate publisher, editors

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — Ehlert Publishing Group, publishers of recreational trade and consumer magazines, has named Jim Hendricks the associate publisher of its Boating Media Group and has named Ron Eldridge and Steve Quinlan as editors of Trailer Boats and Bass & Walleye Boats magazines, respectively.

Hendricks, who has been the editor of Trailer Boats magazine since 1997 has also been the editorial director for Poole Publications titles since 2002. Poole Publications was acquired by Ehlert Publishing Group in October of 2003.

Eldridge served as editor of Bass & Walleye Boats for the past two years, while Quinlan was the executive editor of Trailer Boats.

“I am tremendously pleased with the energy, passion and professionalism of the team we have assembled,” said Wiley Poole, publisher of Ehlert’s Boating Media Group, which includes Trailer Boats, Bass & Walleye Boats, and Watercraft World magazines. “All three of these individuals are highly respected in the boating industry, and thus are ideal for leading and growing the Ehlert Boating Media Group.”

As associate publisher, Hendricks will now oversee all aspects of the magazines, including marketing for the group, while Poole will focus on strategic planning and development.
