Regal & Nautique of Orlando: Hometown focus with a big impact

In a state full of boat dealers as far as the eye can see, Regal & Nautique of Orlando continuously strives to lead the pack.

Regal & Nautique of Orlando’s sole location resides just off of Florida’s well-traveled Interstate 4 in Orlando. The dealership’s 6,000-square foot facility located in the center of the property features a reception and sales office, with five connected service bays flanked in between by parts and service desks. The property’s frontage also offers the dealership opportunity to display a mix of products and brands, accommodating up to 50 boats.

With only one location, Regal & Nautique of Orlando is proof that a dealership doesn’t need to have multiple locations to make its way onto Boating Industry’s Top 100, and furthermore, into the Top 20.

The new facility will expand the dealership’s total footprint from 8,100 square feet on 2.07 acres, to an estimated 23,100 square feet on 3.4 acres.

Since 2011, Regal & Nautique of Orlando has found itself somewhere on Boating Industry’s Top 100 list. However the dealership has never settled in one spot and has consistently pushed up the list, reaching the No. 17 spot in 2017.

“This recognition truly served to spark new inspiration and motivation for our entire team,” said owner and general manager Jeff Husby. “After receiving this ranking, our management team met together and decided to examine all areas of our business. We looked at it with a new set of eyes and with a renewed passion for improving our business.”

Cracking the Top 20 in 2015 led to 2016 being a year of major achievement for the dealership, Husby said. “After each manager scrutinized his or her area of responsibility, we got together and shared ideas, and then collaborated on a plan for improvement,” he added.

As a result, the Regal & Nautique of Orlando was once again named the No. 1 and No. 2 market share positions for all boats in Central Florida, represented by the dealership’s Nautique and Regal brands, respectively.

“This is a highly competitive market with many strong, top performing dealerships, so to earn these top two rankings is a true testament to our team,” Husby said. “We’ve gotten here through the contributions and commitments of a razor-sharp team, who cares about business as much as they care about our customers.”

From new team member additions, to improved marketing initiatives, and much more in between, every year is a year of forward movement for Regal & Nautique of Orlando, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Involvement, with community and industry, has been a key focus for the dealership since opening its doors in 2008. From 20 Groups and national dealer councils, to regional associations, like the Marine Industry Association of Central Florida, Regal & Nautique of Orlando makes a point to remain involved in the industry through and through.

“We recognize the benefit of this engagement and contribute time, manpower and resources to positively impact both our dealership and the organizations which we choose to support,” Husby said.

At the community level, the dealership strives to be the hometown dealership in the area.

“We believe locals who live and make Central Florida home, want to do business and appreciate establishing relationships with people and companies who make them feel welcome and invite them into their community,” Husby said.

In an effort to continue pushing the dealership forward further and prepare for the future, Regal & Nautique of Orlando announced a new, major new dealership building expansion plan, slated for 2019.

The dealership plans to build a new $2.5 million, 15,000 square foot retail showroom and service center immediately adjacent to its existing property. The new facility will expand the dealership’s total footprint from 8,100 square feet on 2.07 acres, to an estimated 23,100 square feet on 3.4 acres.

Husby said the new building will feature Nautique Boats exclusively and will sport up to 16 models in an air-conditioned showroom.

It will also house five air-controlled service bays, with room for future expansion. The dealership is presently conferring with senior members of Nautique’s corporate leadership team with the goal to create a spectacular, world-class Nautique showcase.

Upon launch of the new facility, the current property is expected to undergo some minor renovations and will become a dedicated showroom and service facility for Regal Boats, along with Moomba Boats.

“We appreciate the fantastic support and well wishes received from our many friends and colleagues in the marine industry, along with scores of loyal customers who have helped us become the top sport boat market share leader in Central Florida,” Husby said. “I’m really proud of my team and all of their hard work and effort over the past 10 years that allows us to facilitate continued growth. Our new expansion will allow us to further elevate the customer experience by offering dedicated sales, service and parts for all the brands we represent. This will significantly enhance our inventories and ability to expedite service with a more dedicated focus.”
