Vic Spellberg joins Peters & May
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Vic Spellberg, a marine industry veteran, has joined Peters & May USA as Sales Manager based at the Fort Lauderdale, office.
Spellberg is a former racer turned marketer for powerboats and sport yachts and believes the shipping industry is a good fit for his skills and expertise.
“I understand the boating business from the customer’s view as well as that of the dealers and manufacturers,” he said in a statement. “Plus, I am a racer and a race fan, so l can work with Peters & May Racing’s new focus.”
Spellberg, a Chicago native, grew up boating on the Great Lakes. A member of the American Powerboat Association, Spellberg served as President of the Offshore Powerboat Racing Association for five years during the 80s, while owning a Miami-based office products and furniture company. Through his relationship with Formula he then changed careers and got back into boating, as Director of Sponsor Promotions for Formula. Last year, Spellberg joined Cigarette Racing Team as Director of Sales and Marketing and became a customer of Peters & May, who has shipped a number of Cigarettes around the world.
