FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Yacht chef Victorial Allman, 38, has published her second cookbook/memoir. The book, SEAsoned: A Chef’s Journey with Her Captain, documents working alongside her husband on his first captain assignment.
Allman has worked as a yacht chef for 12 years, working on five different boats.
In addition to talking about interesting yacht guests, it also details working in a galley kitchen and offers recipes.
She now works aboard the Cocoa Bean, a 140-foot yacht with a staff of nine. Her husband, Patrick Allman, is the captain — and her boss.
Allman’s first book, Sea Fare: A Chef’s Journey Across the Ocean, details her first year as a yacht chef. Allman blogs at victoriaallman.com and contributes regularly to Marina Life magazine, OceanLines, and writes a column, “Dishing It Up,” for Dockwalk, a magazine for super-yacht captains and crew.
