Composites association adds director of communications

ARLINGTON, Va. – The American Composites Manufacturers Association recently added Steven L. Joseph as its new director of communications. In addition to developing and maintaining the overall communications strategy, he will be responsible for overseeing development, editing, production, advertising sales and dissemination of all association publications and communications vehicles, including ACMA’s bi-monthly magazine Composites Manufacturing, the Insider and Interviews e-newsletters and all social media.

Before joining ACMA, Joseph served as senior manager of marketing for Buffalo Place Inc., a not-for-profit agency committed to maximizing the economic health and quality of life in downtown Buffalo, N.Y. While there, he led the marketing, communications and new business functions and developed strategies resulting in a 167% increase in annual revenue.

“ACMA is proud to have Steven Joseph join our leadership team,” Tom Dobbins, ACMA’s chief staff executive, said in a release. “We are fortunate to have someone with his experience implementing marketing and communications techniques to bring new ideas to refresh and enhance ACMA’s industry communications programs.”
