NMEA adds documentation specialist

SEVERNA PARK, Md. — The National Marine Electronics Association has hired Mark Reedenauer as a documentation specialist. In the newly created position, Reedenauer will be responsible for updating the NMEA 2000 database, the NMEA 0183 specification, Marine Electronics Installer and NMEA 2000 training documents, PowerPoint presentations, and a variety of standard operating procedures.

Reedenauer comes to NMEA with 12 years of experience in the marine electronics industry. Most recently he served for six years as product marketing manager for Airmar. He graduated from Plymouth State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. In his free time, Reedenauer enjoys fishing, skiing, and tinkering with marine electronics. He will work from his office in Concord, N.H.

“We’re very fortunate to have Mark on board,” NMEA President David Hayden said in a statement. “His marine electronics background and creativity will be tremendous assets in helping us take standards development, technical training, and overall document presentations to new levels.
