Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
PORTLAND, Ore. — Schooner Creek Boat Works hired James Gilbert as its new Vice President of Operations for its Portland boatyard.
Gilbert takes over day-to-day operations responsibilities from a re-structuring consultant who has served as Schooner Creek’s operations manager for the last two years.
Gilbert has an extensive background in operations management within the marine industry. Most recently, Gilbert served as Vice President of Manufacturing and Production at Fluid Motion, in Kent, Wash., overseeing all production activities on the Ranger Tugs line of pleasure boat trawlers. Prior to that, Mr. Gilbert spent more than 29 years with Brunswick Corp. in a variety of positions.
