Sportboat Magazine Launched
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Source Interlink Media (SIM) is pleased to announce the launch of Sportboat Magazine. The first issue of Sportboat Magazine is available on newsstand now, and was launched with 100,000 newstand copies. Subsequent issues will be available quarterly throughout 2011.
Victoria Newton will serve as associate publisher. She comes to SIM from Powerboat Magazine, where she worked in various roles for more than 14 years. She most recently worked as a key figure in the launch of Performance Boats magazines and websites.
Award-winning journalist Eric Colby will lead the editorial department. Colby is the former editor of Powerboat Magazine and has written exclusively about the marine industry for 25 years. He’s also a former offshore powerboat racer.
“We are excited to enter this market and are thrilled with the industry support that we have already received. The performance automotive and performance marine markets have a lot of crossover both on the industry and enthusiast sides. We look forward to utilizing Source Interlink Media’s publishing and distribution strength to serve the marine industry, said Warren Kosikov, Vice President Sales & Operations who himself is a 21 year veteran of marine publishing.
SIM creates content for more than 70 publications, 90 websites, events, television, and radio. Its portfolio includes many respected brands such as Motor Trend, Automobile, Hot Rod and Surfer.
