Yacht Brokers Association names new executive director
ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Vincent J. Petrella has been appointed the new executive director of the Yacht Brokers Association of America, according to a recent press release from the organization.
Petrella has served as a past director, president and chairman of the Connecticut Marine Trades Association board and director and chairman of the Professional Development Committee of the Yacht Brokers Association of America. He was the founding chairman of The National Yacht Brokers Certification Program’s Certification Advisory Council.
“The YBAA Board is delighted with the appointment of Vin Petrella as our new executive,” Steve McPherson, YBAA president, said in the release. “His depth and breadth of past experience in our industry and as a professional yacht broker, as a Past President of the association, and as one of the founding developers of the CPYB certification program will enable him to add great value to our association and to its members.”
Petrella will be supported by YBAA staff in the Annapolis offices and a team of professionals supporting membership, programs, conference planning, finances, and certification.
