LIVONIA, Mich. — Four marine businessmen were elected to serve as directors of the Michigan Boating Industries Association, a statewide non-profit marine trade association representing close to 300 marine businesses in Michigan, according to a recent press release from MBIA.
Jim Adams of Freeway Sports Center in Fenton, and Tom Haag of Colony Marine in St. Clair Shores were elected as Statewide Directors. Douglas Bergmann of Bergmann Marine in Charlevoix was elected as the Northern Region Director and Tim Tadsen from Carleton was elected as the Boater’s Association of Michigan Director. All will serve three-year terms.
Officer’s appointed for 2011 are: Steve Remias, MacRay Harbor in Harrison Twp. as Chairman of the Board. Kathleen Torresen, Torresen Marine, Inc. in Muskegon was appointed Vice Chair and Jim Coburn, Coburn & Associates in Macomb was appointed Secretary/Treasurer.
Other directors on the board who will continue to serve in 2011 are Debi Schroeder, Wilson Marine, Brighton; Greg Krueger, Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales, St. Clair Shores; Steve Popkie, W.C. Beardslee, Inc., Harsens Island; and Chris Lisowicz, North Shore Marina, Spring Lake.
