IYRS to host open houses in July, August
BRISTOL, R.I. – The International Yacht Restoration School is hosting two summer open houses for the public at its Bristol facility, on the afternoons of Wednesday, July 21 and Wednesday, Aug. 4. The events will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., according to an IYRS press release.
The IYRS Bristol facility houses the school’s Marine Systems and Composites Technology programs. IYRS instructors and staff from both programs will be at the open houses and available to talk about the topics taught in their respective programs and answer questions about admissions and financial aid.
The Composites Technology program gives students a foundation in techniques, composites processes and technology. The Marine Systems program teaches students to install, troubleshoot and maintain the onboard systems used on modern and classic boats. Both programs are full-time courses that run for nine months.
