INDIANAPOLIS – Precision Propeller Industries, Inc. (PPI) has appointed marine industry veteran Richie Rodgers as PPI’s sales and marketing manager, a move designed to strengthen the company’s external reach as it grows, it reported in a recent statement.
“Richie understands both the salt water and fresh water markets. His knowledge and years of experience in marine marketing and sales make him a very valuable asset for us as we expand our business,” said Bill Boehman, general manager, PPI, Inc.
Effective immediately, Rodgers will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies for PPI, Inc. and its various brands and businesses. He will report to Boehman.
Rodgers, who has been in the marine industry for more than 16 years, was most recently national sales and marketing manager for Century Boats. Prior to that assignment, he served as customer service manager for Century. He also worked in a variety of customer service, sales and brand management positions for boat brands including Champion, Stratos, Javelin, Astro and Pro Craft, according to PPI.
Rodgers graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tenn. with a degree in management and human relations.
Seventeen-year PPI veteran and in-house sales manager Steve McLelland will continue in his role to support all aspects of the sales and marketing group.
“As PPI looks toward new markets and expanded business opportunities, we will rely on Steve’s vast industry knowledge and experience in sales and customer support to keep PPI at the forefront of the propeller industry,” said Boehman.
