Roch Lambert moves to Project Boat Holdings

CADILLAC, Mich. — Project Boat Holdings LLC has appointed Roch Lambert to the new position of president of the holding company’s recreational boat division, which includes the Four Winns, Glastron and Wellcraft brands. Project Boat Holdings is an affiliate of Platinum Equity, which acquired the brands out of bankruptcy earlier this year along with the fishing boat brands Ranger, Stratos and Champion.

“Roch is a strong leader and highly experienced operator in the boat and engine manufacturing industries, and he shares our long-term vision for manufacturing and marketing world class boat brands,” Louis Samson, principal at Platinum, said in a release. “Strengthening the management team is part of our continued commitment to support and grow these internationally recognized recreational boat brands.”

Lambert most recently served as vice president and general manager of the Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo and Evinrude division of BRP US Inc. (formerly Bombardier Inc.). He also previously served as vice president and general manager of BRP’s Evinrude and Johnson outboard engines division rebuilding the brands from the OMC bankruptcy of 2000.

“Four Winns, Glastron and Wellcraft each have exciting products, loyal customers, dedicated dealers and talented employees supporting them,” Lambert said in the release. “I look forward to mobilizing and strengthening the teams across all the brands and I am confident that our collective efforts will help each brand achieve their full potential.”

Four Winns and Wellcraft President Jeff Olson and Glastron President Mike O’Connell will report to Lambert. Mr. Lambert will work at the recreational boat division’s operations in Cadillac, Mich.
