JEANERETTE, La. — Metal Shark Boats has named Brian Johnston the company’s new director of communications, Metal Shark reported in a release. Johnston will assume responsibility for advertising and public relations activities, as well as associate and industry communications.
In addition to his role with Metal Shark, Johnston will continue to serve in his capacity as principal at Bonefish Communications.
Johnston has planned and executed national public relations activities, domestic and global media launches, and other media outreach programs. He has also overseen the planning and promotion of special events, managed Web site development and created print and video collateral materials.
“Brian’s diverse experience in the marine industry, coupled with his reputation among media peers, make him the perfect choice for this position,” Chris Allard, president of Metal Shark Boats, said in the release. “We’re looking forward to great success with Brian heading up our communications efforts.”
