Interphase Technologies hires new sales and marketing manager

SOQUEL, Calif. — Marine electronics manufacturer Interphase Technologies, Inc. her hired Bob Chew to serve in the new position of sales and marketing manager, it reported in a recent statement.

In this new position, Chew will be responsible for a broad spectrum of sales, marketing and business development activities, according to the company. Chew will work to expand Interphase Technologies’ presence in domestic and international marine markets, addressing the recreational, commercial and governmental segments of the business, it reported. Chew will perform these functions out of an office in Stuart, Fla.

Chew brings more than 25 years of marine industry experience to this position, including expertise in both the retail and wholesale side of marine sales, as well as distribution and manufacturing. He also has experience in marketing, business development and product development. Among his notable accomplishments was the successful launch of the Marine Sat marine communications network, which eventually grew to become a leading provider of satellite telephone equipment and service for the marine market, the company stated. Chew has been a passionate recreational boater and fisherman all his life, it said.

“I am very pleased that Bob is joining our team,” said President Charles Hicks. “I’m confident his industry knowledge and marketing experience will help us take the Interphase product line to a larger and broader boating audience.”
