Skip Robinson joins Port Royal

MIAMI — Skip Robinson has joined the Port Royal Group, which will allow him to share his expertise with yacht owners, buyers, builders and sellers, the company reported in a statement this week.

Port Royal Group president Phil Friedman discussed the news at a pre-show press conference before the Miami International Boat Show, where he said he was extremely pleased to be working with his long-time colleague, according to Port Royal Group.

Robinson most recently served as director of operations for Hodgdon Yachts, Inc., according to the company. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of Palmer Johnson Savannah, Inc.

From 1969 to 1988, Robinson was owner/operator of Onset Bay Marina, Inc., a full service boat yard, marina and dry-stack facility located on Buzzards Bay, Mass.

Robinson’s recent consulting activities include start-up and development for Warboats, LLC, a patrol boat builder that he assisted with general and funding development, feasibility evaluation and the design of a composite ship building facility, according to Port Royal.

The Port Royal Group provides technical and business consulting services to yacht owners, buyers, builders and sellers worldwide.
