NEW BERN, N.C. – The Hatteras Collection has named Paul Cherney senior vice president, sales and marketing, it reported in a statement this morning.

In this role, Cherney will lead the sales and marketing function for both the Hatteras and Cabo brands, the Brunswick Corp. division explained.

Reporting to Cherney will be: Karl Kemppainen, vice president of sales; Eric Cashion, marketing director; and Brent Barkley, brand manager.

Cherney has worked in the marine division of Brunswick over the past seven years, leading the establishment and growth of the Meridian Yachts brand as vice president and general manager, the company stated. Prior to joining Brunswick, he spent three years with SkipperLiner as vice president and general manager with its commercial business unit, and four years with Carver Boat Co. as national sales manager.

Cherney holds a bachelor’s of business administration from the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh. Paul, his wife, Anne, and three children will be relocating to New Bern from Knoxville, Tenn.

“We are excited to have Paul join our team at this time,” stated Keri Theophilus, president of the Hatteras Collection. “Hatteras Yachts’ new Signature Series has been well received and shows great promise.
