IYRS adds to management team
NEWPORT, R.I. — The International Yacht Restoration School and the Museum of Yachting have added Chris Cox to their management team in the role of vice president, the organizations recently announced.
Cox will serve as director of the Museum of Yachting and head of development for both organizations. During his career, he has held management positions at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, Conn., and Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Conn.
The Museum and the International Yacht Restoration School converged in 2007.
“Our challenge is to make the Museum relevant to both our school and to the wider public, and to strengthen the organization’s sustainability. Chris Cox arrives at the right time, with the right experience, to help craft a new future,” said Terry Nathan, president of IYRS and the Museum.
