PEWAUKEE, Wis. – Harken Yacht Equipment has appointed Stefano Castagna as its global human resources manager, the company said in a press release July 1. This newly created global position is designed to build teamwork and better coordination between Harken’s growing family of wholly owned offices.
Castagna, who begins with Harken on July 15, will be based out of Harken Italy’s office in Lurago Marinone in Italy’s Como District. He will be traveling extensively to Harken’s offices throughout the world. Castagna will be responsible for strategic planning and support of Harken’s human resources initiatives throughout all Harken operations and will report to the company’s co-CEOs, Peter and Olaf Harken.
Castagna joins Harken with an extensive international HR consulting background, having worked as a senior consultant with two leading Italian-based HR consulting firms: Core Consulting S.p.A and Learning Systems S.p.A.
Castagna will facilitate the increasing globalization of Harken’s distribution offices as well as its two central manufacturing operations in the United States and Italy.
