RACINE, Wis. – The Marine Electronics Group at Johnson Outdoors, Inc. has named Bruce Angus as business development director, the company said in a press release this morning. The Marine Electronics Group develops, markets and distributes products under the Humminbird, Geonav, Minn Kota and Cannon brands.
Angus will report to Kelly Grindle, group vice president. In the newly created position he will lead the development of new products to address targeted growth areas for the company.
Angus’s career has spanned all aspects of marine navigation and communications products in the commercial and recreational sectors worldwide. Prior to joining Johnson Outdoors, he held executive positions at Navionics, Northstar, Laser Plot and Sperry Marine and currently serves on the National Marine Electronics Association board of directors.
“We are excited to have someone with Bruce’s global experience and reputation in the marine electronics industry join Johnson Outdoors,” Grindle said. “We look forward to him leading our marine electronics business into new markets and product categories. His executive, product and practical knowledge of our industry will be a valuable asset as we continue the growth of our business.”
