Performance Metals appoints new board member

BECHTELSVILLE, Pa. – Performance Metals has appointed Richard Greco, Jr., former assistant secretary of the Navy (Financial Management & Comptroller), to its board of directors, the company reported in a release today.

“Richard’s high profile expertise is an exceptional addition to the Performance Metals board of directors,” said Hank Leipert, CEO. “His knowledge and practical experience with corporate finance, governance and sound financial management will provide Performance Metals an advantage as we look to grow and expand our business.”

Greco, 39, is president of Filangieri Capital Partners in New York City, a private equity firm seeking investment opportunities in Italy and emerging markets. He served as the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management and Comptroller) from 2004 to 2006. Prior to his confirmation by the Senate, Greco was a White House Fellow from 2002 to 2003.

Prior to government service, Greco was a managing director of the corporate finance advisory firm of Stern Stewart & Co., where he specialized in EVA-based corporate governance systems, performance measurement and management, incentive compensation, corporate valuation, and financial market research. Before joining Stern Stewart in 1997, he was an Associate at The Scowcroft Group, an investment advisory firm.
