Don Smith named Cabo Yachts director of sales

ADELANTO, Calif. – Sportfishing boat builder Cabo Yachts has appointed Don Smith as director of sales, effective immediately, it reported in a statement yesterday.

Smith will report to Austin Rothbard, president of Cabo Yachts. With more than 23 years of marine industry experience, he will be responsible for managing the entire Cabo dealer network, according to the company.

Prior to taking on this role, Smith was a sales manager at Cabo, covering the East Coast of the United States. Before joining the company, he was the Cabo brand manager for MarineMax, Cabo’s dealer in Florida. During his six-year tenure with MarineMax, Smith earned numerous dealership achievement awards as a store manager and was responsible for the integration of Cabo Yachts into the dealership, according to the boat builder.

“Don’s tremendous industry experience will make him an asset in this position,” commented Rothbard. “His passion for Cabo and his exceptional team skills will prove valuable as we grow the business.”
