Navico promotes Sprouse to director of marketing

TULSA – Gordon Sprouse has been promoted to director of marketing for all Navico brands: B&G, Eagle, Lowrance, MX Marine, Northstar and Simrad, the company reported in a recent statement.

Operating from Navico’s Tulsa, Okla., facility, Sprouse will lead the copmany’s Americas marketing organization and will report directly to John Bay, Navico’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. His responsibilities will include developing and implementing an Americas marketing plan that strengthens Navico’s brands and enhances sales, while representing the region within Navico’s Global Marketing Council.

The Americas marketing organization manages all Western hemisphere promotional initiatives including marketing communications, product marketing and launch plans, trade shows, tournament sponsorships, collateral production, public relations, trade and channel marketing, and consumer promotions.

Sprouse joined Lowrance Electronics Inc. in August of 2004 as the North American sales manager. In November of 2006, when Navico Americas was first organized, he was appointed marketing director for the Eagle and Lowrance brands. Outside of Lowrance Electronics and Navico, Sprouse has more than 15 years of experience in marketing communications, sales, event planning and media development in the outdoors industry, including stints as editor, director of marketing and associate publisher for a publishing company servicing the fishing, hunting and golf markets.
