ABYC appoints new director of membership
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The American Boat & Yacht Council has promoted Judith Ramsey to director of membership for the organization, it reported in a statement this week.
A 10-year employee of ABYC, Ramsey most recently served as the organization’s manager of customer service and the editor of the membership’s technical journal, the Reference Point.
Since joining ABYC in 1998, Ramsey has been responsible for a wide range of membership and customer service activities, including the transition from the ABYC membership newsletter to the technical journal, the Reference Point. In her new role, she will continue to build on her experience with ABYC and be responsible for nurturing relationships with existing members, identifying and enrolling new members, creating new member benefits and products, and educating people on the benefits of becoming an ABYC member, according to the association. Her previous employers include Heritage Books, a genealogical publisher, the San Diego Girl Scout Council, and the U.S. House of Representatives.
Bob Wiggans, ABYC’s previous director of membership, has taken a position with the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America, Inc. in Washington, DC.
