RBFF names new director of state initiatives

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation has selected Stephanie Hussey as the organization’s director of state initiatives, RBFF said in a statement yesterday. Hussey will be responsible for implementing the organization’s State Direct Mail Marketing Program and continuing to build relationships with state fish and wildlife agencies and their partners.

“Stephanie has been committed to promoting boating and fishing participation at the grassroots level and developed close relationships with our state partners across the country,” said Frank Peterson, RBFF president and CEO. “She has worked diligently to implement our State Direct Mail Marketing Program and her commitment to the project has earned her a well-deserved promotion.”

Hussey has 14 years of experience working with state fish and wildlife agencies and as one of RBFF’s veteran staff members, she has led the charge on many key products and programs, helping kick off the first National Fishing and Boating Week and leading the development of the Take Me Fishing Event Planning Kit and Passport to Fishing and Boating Program. She also sits on the Association for Conservation Information’s board of directors.

“I am honored to be directing RBFF’s state initiatives, which support the state fish and wildlife agencies’ efforts to sell fishing licenses and, ultimately, increase funds for critical conservation projects,” Hussey said.

Hussey received a bachelor’s from Michigan State University and was awarded a Berryman Fellowship to pursue graduate studies in fisheries and wildlife at Utah State University.
