Outerlimits names service general manager

BRISTOL, R.I. – Outerlimits Powerboats has hired Gary Garofalo as service department general manager, the company said in a press release Monday. Garofalo assumes a role created to oversee the in-house and traveling service team, restructure the service facility and enhance operations for Outerlimits.

“The service department had grown to the point that we needed to make it a more smoothly operating facility which handles a wide range of work,” said Mike Fiore, Outerlimits owner and president.

Garofalo has held Mercury Outboard and Mercruiser Technician Certification for more than 25 years, but used his insurance designation, Kent State University degree and racing experience to segue into service management. He previously held a position in sales for a New England Mercedes-Benz dealer. Garofalo brings operational and management expertise to Outerlimits and plans to expand the company’s capabilities within the current service facility.
