Marinas International names new managing partner

DALLAS – Gregg Kenney has joined Marinas International as a managing partner, the company said in a statement yesterday. He is a past president and managing partner for Flagship Marinas, a marina company with multi-state operations encompassing more than 6,000 slips customers.

Prior to his tenure at Flagship Marinas, Kenney was vice president of operations for Marinas International, where he worked closely with Marshall Funk and Stan Johnson, Marinas International’s founding managing partners. He also has several years of operational experience with Westrec Marinas overseeing marina resorts in Florida.

Kenney served 20 years in the U.S. Navy and was awarded five Navy Achievement Medals and three Navy Commendation Medals. He received a bachelor’s from the Baptist College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C.

He is also chairman emeritus of the board of directors for the Association of Marina Industries and past president of the International Marina Institute. He has served on the board of directors for the Marina Operators Association of America, the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation and the National Marine Manufacturers Association.
