The Landing School hires two new directors

ARUNDEL, Maine – The Landing School’s continuing growth and expansion allowed the school to add a marketing director and a finance director to the its administrative faculty in November, the boatbuilding school said in a statement Wednesday.

Nicole Jacques has been named marketing director, and Nanette Terry has joined the school as finance director. Jacques has several years of professional experience in the marine industry, and Terry has focused her career in the education field. Together with The Landing School’s current administration, these new directors will work to position the school for further growth, the school stated.

Jacques began her career in the marine industry in 1999 as a copywriter for an advertising agency in Portland, Maine, which had a concentration of boat-related business. She quickly began managing the consumer and trade marketing campaigns for an array of clients including OEMs, event producers and nonprofit associations. After seven years in the marine industry, she left for one year to take advantage of a professional opportunity in a large financial company; but her passion for boats prompted her return to the industry. Jacques holds a master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire.

Terry has had an extensive career in accounting, administration, human resources and risk management. She has worked with several institutes of higher education including Harvard University and the University of New Hampshire. Terry is also a former board member and treasurer for Boston’s Save the Harbor/Save the Bay nonprofit organization. She holds an MBA from Suffolk University.
