Bonnier attracts Ritchie away from Hatteras

WINTER PARK, Fla. – In his first major move since being named group publisher for the Bonnier Marine Group, Glenn Hughes has selected David Ritchie as the group’s editorial director, the company said in a statement today. Ritchie currently works for Hatteras and will step into the new role Jan. 14.

Ritchie’s tenure on Marlin, one of Bonnier’s titles, began in 1988 after his graduation from Troy State University. He served as editor from 1992 to 2002, leading a redesign and taking on the editorship of a second magazine, Fly Fishing in Salt Waters. In 2002, he became marketing director for Hatteras.
