SeaArk promotes four

MONTICELLO, Ark. – SeaArk Marine, Inc. has promoted four of its team members, the company announced.

Marcus Junior has been named paint department supervisor. His association with SeaArk began in July 1999 in the company’s welding department as a fitter. He was transferred to the paint shop in 2002 where he was promoted to assistant team leader in July 2005 and to team leader in September 2006. On-time scheduling and quality are priorities for Junior in his new role.

Russell Peacock was promoted to quality assurance manager. He started in SeaArk’s rigging department in January 2000. He quickly moved up to the top rigger class and was promoted to team leader in January 2005. Peacock has traveled domestically and abroad to commission SeaArk’s products at delivery. Peacock leads an experienced team of inspectors through every state of vessel construction, testing and delivery.

SeaArk appointed Chris Baker as materials manager. With short breaks in service, Baker has been employed with the boatbuilder since December 1988 when he began in the production department. He was promoted to the cost estimation department where he gained information in the materials process. He has been instrumental in developing SeaArk’s cost control strategies, material handling and inventory methods, and leading the material and production teams in the new software implementation process.

The boatbuilder also promoted Michelle Gibson to human resources coordinator. Gibson began as a temporary secretary/receptionist in April 2003, becoming full-time in May 2003. She was promoted to executive secretary to the human resources director in March 2006. In her new capacity as human resources coordinator, she is accountable for all responsibilities from her former role as well as aspects of payroll.
