KENNESAW, Ga. – Yamaha Marine Group has appointed Ben Alspach as division head, marine product business planning, overseeing the marine engineering (engines, rigging components and propellers) and the test facility teams for Yamaha, the company said in a press release yesterday. In this new position, Alspach will be responsible for maintaining clear, long-term market-driven product plans.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Ben to the Yamaha team,” said Ben Speciale, vice president operations and planning, Yamaha Marine Group. “Ben’s experience will be a nice compliment to the technical strengths of the engineering and testing groups.”
A 25-year product management and marketing communications veteran, Alspach’s experience includes executive management positions with a conveying equipment manufacturer, as well as a long career with Pure Fishing, where he managed product planning for various product groups including fishing rods and Trilene fishing line.
