boats.com and YachtWorld.com get new GM
SEATTLE – Web-based resources boats.com and YachtWorld.com, both Dominion Enterprises divisions, have appointed Ian Atkins as group general manager, the company said in a press release yesterday.
Atkins, who previously managed the entity’s Boats International division, has been instrumental in formulating overall strategic direction with the company founders and James Nolan, who recently announced he will move to a consulting role for the company. Simultaneously, Atkins managed start-up and development for the company’s operations outside North America. His recruiting well-connected independent agents in countries around the world were instrumental in accelerating international growth for boats.com and YachtWorld.com.
“I am very excited with the opportunity and growth prospects for these global businesses” Atkins said. “I will be working closely with Debra Keene Bergeron, U.S. general manager for both boats.com and YachtWorld.com to further develop our services to the recreational marine industry”
